Road car tuning

We are experts at improving the dynamics of road-going Porsches, whether in terms of handling modifications, brake upgrades or engine tuning.

We have two approaches to tuning. We will either specify a package comprising of proven components and fit it for a set price, based on a project that has been successful in the past. Or we will develop a bespoke package for your car, providing you (in the first instance) with a realistic budget and timeframe. From a £1k handling upgrade to a £30k engine build, we will guarantee our results – and be as enthusiastic as you are throughout the whole process.

Track car modifications

Most Porsches have been developed as road cars, and are too 'soft' for track use. If you are planning on doing any more than one or two trackdays a year, it could be worth uprating the suspension or brakes of your car, and lightening it to improve dynamics. You may also consider fitting additional safety equipment, like full harnesses, roll cage and fire extinguisher system.

The most important modification we can recommend, however, is driver training. We have access to a number of world class racing drivers, who will happily attend a trackday of your choice and give one-to-one tuition. Dare we say that it’s equivalent to a 100bhp engine upgrade in lap time terms?

Racing

These days, racing is more competitive – and more expensive – than it has ever been.
At Fearnsport, we will do all we can to improve your performance whilst keeping a close eye on the budget. We’ll also provide professional (and enthusiastic) support, at every level.

• Race Car Preparation. Full development and preparation of racing Porsches can be undertaken in all classes, including Britcar and International GT. Reliability and safety, as well as performance, are the hallmarks of Fearnsport preparation.
• Race Support. We’ll arrive, help prepare your car and set it up, then look after it throughout the day – whether in terms of maintenance or emergency trackside repairs.
• Race Team Management. We can look after the logistics, admin, marketing and general management of your race team, should you require us to do so. A valuable service for racers who simply want to ‘arrive and drive’.
• Race Tuition. We can provide instruction from leading drivers with extensive Porsche racing experience. Even experienced racers can find something useful from the sessions, whether in terms of gaining a few tenths on a particular corner to improving their overall racecraft.
